Hispanic babies healthiest in Jackson Hospital study. Miami, Florida

“Hispanic babies fared better on key health measures than newborns of other ethnicities, according to a new analysis of births at Jackson Memorial Hospital in the 1990s.

The findings, based on more than 80,000 births, are consistent with a national trend: Hispanic newborns tend to be healthier than babies of other ethnicities, a phenomenon puzzled researchers have dubbed “the epidemiological paradox.”…”
