“We are the Houston component of the book fair that actor and activist Edward James Olmos founded in Los Angeles 8 years ago. With his guidance and recognition in not only the Latino community, but also in the mainstream community, and with the work that Nuestra Palabra has done here in Houston, we have created the fastest growing book fair in the country.

The 4th Annual Houston Latino Book and Family Festival will feature presentations by 50 Latino authors, ranging from nationally known figures to local authors. This will include Laura Esquivel, author of LIKE WATER FOR CHOCOLATE, presenting her new book LA MALINCHE: a novel….”
