L.A. Avengers name PADRES Contra El Cáncer official 2006 charitable partner. California

“In a partnership bringing together children with cancer and their favorite athletes, the Los Angeles Avengers of the Arena Football League have named PADRES Contra El Cáncer (PADRES), a non-profit organization committed to improving the quality of life for Latino children with cancer and their families, the team’s Official 2006 Charitable Partner. To kick off the new partnership, the team has invited children with cancer to meet the 2006 Avengers and attend a “Kickoff Party” on Saturday (Jan. 14) at their training facility at West Los Angeles College in Culver City.

“As an avid sports fan, I am delighted the Los Angeles Avengers have chosen to support PADRES Contra El Cáncer,” said Eva Longoria, national spokesperson for PADRES. “The sports and entertainment communities can offer so much to an organization like PADRES.
