Hispanic workers get 2nd chance to challenge English-only policy. Oklahoma

“A federal appeals court ruling Wednesday resurrects claims Hispanic workers made in a lawsuit challenging an English-only policy for city workers in Altus, Okla.

Twelve bilingual Hispanic workers filed complaints with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission after the city adopted the policy in 2002. They argued that the city failed to show there was a need to prevent them from speaking Spanish. They said the policy singled out a nationality….”
