“The U.S. Department of Labor’s 2000 Census reported that more than 28,000 El Paso County residents were from Spanish-speaking households.

Today, those numbers are probably 20 to 25 percent higher, thanks to an influx of immigrants from Mexico and Central America during the past five years, said Mindy Vasquez, a career advisor for the Pikes Peak Workforce Center….”
