Cuban rafters rescued off Mexican coast

“Eighteen Cuban migrants aboard a wooden boat described as “precarious” were rescued Monday off Mexico’s Caribbean coast, authorities here said.

The rafters, including three wom-en and a five-month-old baby, were picked up by a Mexican fishing boat about six kilometers (four miles) north of Isla Mujeres, said navy Capt. José Luis Ibarra Rojo….”
