“Some critics fear the database might prevent people from reporting crimes. The sheriff’s department attempted to ease some of those fears.

Isabel Rubio, of the Hispanic Interest Coalition of Alabama, said, “Our biggest concern is that this will erode the community trust with the immigrant communities and will really impede their interest in reporting crimes.”…”
