“Mr. Blalack became infuriated when passing through San Antonio, Texas and read about a local Spanish-language radio station, Estereo Latino 92.9, KROM-FM, that had as one of its running gags a segment called Limones Verdes.
Limones verdes or limes refers to the green uniforms of Border Patrol agents. In the segment, listeners would call in and report where they saw agents patrolling around the city. In turn, the DJs would put out a “limon verde” alert….”
