“City leaders are considering a $2.5 million cash offer for the Fort Worth Mercado, a building once envisioned as the heart of the north side, by the new owner of La Gran Plaza.

José Legaspi, owner of the California-based Legaspi Co., said Tuesday that he plans to keep the Mercado name and vision of a Mexican-style market with shops, restaurants and offices….”
