“Hoy, the nation’s leading Spanish-language newspaper, with daily editions in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago, announced today it will expand its reach to New York Hispanics by converting its daily New York publication to a controlled circulation model. Effective Jan. 23, 2006, Hoy will remove its cover price and distribute 60,000 copies free daily (Monday-Saturday) through retail locations, honor boxes and on-street hawkers. Hoy will also convert its existing Sunday edition into a weekend edition, available both Saturday and Sunday….”
