“St. Francis Church will celebrate a historic Mass Sunday when new ground is broken in the area of Hispanic ministry.

The 2 p.m. Mass in Spanish is an effort to reach out to Hispanics in the Quincy area, according to the Rev. Tom Shaughnessy, a parochial vicar at St. Francis.

“This will be the first Mass in Spanish in the history of this parish, which dates back to 1860, and the first at this church, which dates back to 1882,” Shaughnessy said….”
