“Robert Menendez has raised more than $17 million in campaign cash the past two decades, a Star-Ledger analysis shows.

Since 1987, Menendez — Gov.-elect Jon Corzine’s choice to replace him in the U.S. Senate next month — has raised huge sums from unions, lawyers, engineers and developers. Businesses with a stake in his congressional district, such as Maher Terminals, have been big donors. So are major New Jersey companies such as Verizon and Prudential….”
