“Writer Sergio Pitol became the third Mexican author awarded the Cervantes Literature Prize, the most important for Hispanic Literature.

The decision was released Thursday by the Spanish Minister of Culture Carmen Calvo, who praised the excellence of Pitol’s work and his contribution to the legacy of Hispanic literature, with which the jury agreed.”
