Pharmacist-turned-doctor decries unused pharmacy school

“Between 1990 and 1999, the number of pharmacists grew from 12,500 to 15,358, but of the 2,858 new ones, only 287 were Latinos.

“I’m not an activist or anything but this is really dear to me,” Garcí says. “In 10 years, only 287 new licenses? With four pharmacy schools in Texas, that’s what, seven more per school, per year?”
