“So you think Hudson County doesn’t have its own urban legends and bizarre true stories? Growing up in Union City, filmmaker Delmira Valladares was fascinated by local legends and even had personal encounters with unusual phenomena. So she pieced some of the stories together for her graduate school thesis, which will soon be screened at the “Hudson County Diary” showcase at the Jersey City Museum on Dec. 8.

The short film is set to a haunting original score with no dialogue, and is broken up into three split screens telling all the stories simultaneously. “
