UNESCO chose seven cultural treasures from Latin America to add to its list, including brightly decorated ox carts from Costa Rica.

“Costa Rican ox cart traditions, pre-Hispanic theater from Nicaragua and Brazilian samba were among the seven intangible treasures from Latin America selected Friday by the U.N. cultural body.

UNESCO, however, snubbed Mexico’s request to include the art of its food among the list of treasures.”
