Knowledge is Power!

“Charter schools in New York City for the most part are located in predominantly Latino and black communities, where children and their families have long suffered from bad public schools. Yet, even though approximately one-third of the children in the public schools are Latino, the number enrolled in charter schools is low. More Latinos need to take advantage of this excellent option for public education.

We support charter schools as well as traditional public schools because we believe the city must pursue all avenues in the quest to improve education. Competition makes us better, and no one entity should have a monopoly on the education of our children.”
