Knowledge is Power!

“Latina Magazine was recently invited to Manhattan College by the Advisory Committee on Diversity. In celebration of Hispanic Heritage, guest speaker Tyrone Fripp, Director of Human Resources at Latina Magazine spoke on his journey up the corporate ladder and reflected on his myriad stints in the business world before arriving at his current post.

As a Bronx native attended what is presently LaGuardia School of the Arts and then graduated with a degree in Communications from Syracuse University. After graduation he worked various jobs in Human Resources before starting his own consulting practice and later moving on to Latina Magazine. “The key to success lies in maintaining your own identity,” he said, “no matter where you go because assimilation often leads to the death of individuality and you can’t truly be happy if you aren’t being yourself.” “
