Latino family abuse targeted in Texas
Tagged: family“”Machismo” may be part of Latino culture, but the assumption that it necessarily include violent, controlling and abusive behavior was challenged this weekend in the conference rooms of the Marriott Rivercenter Hotel.
Advocates, researchers, healers and survivors from across the country took on machismo, immigrant victims, religion and spirituality, youth violence and how better to reach men in the quest to end family violence in the Latino community.”
