Homeownership workshops planned today target Latinos

“Hoping to boost homeownership among Latinos, a national non-profit educational group headed by a congresswoman will present a series of free workshops today for prospective buyers in San Jose.

The Washington, D.C.-based Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute, chaired by Rep. Grace Napolitano of Southern California, chose San Jose as one of two cities this year for workshops on the fundamentals of home buying, as well as for courses on how to avoid predatory lenders.”
