“The U.S. Justice Department will open an immigration court in Ohio next year to reduce the state’s 2,999-case backlog, Sens. Mike DeWine and George Voinovich announced Monday.
Ohio’s immigration cases are now handled through teleconferences with judges in Virginia. Immigration courts handle matters including deportation cases and requests for asylum.”
