Knowledge is Power!
“Mexican star Jaime Camil, who played Nestor Castillo in the failed pre-Broadway tryout of The Mambo Kings, will make his Broadway debut this season after all. He is set to join the cast of Latinologues on November 25.
Camil was expected to appear on Broadway this season in The Mambo Kings, but plans for that production were scrapped after a pre-Broadway mounting in San Francisco. Camil earned acclaim for his performance as Bernardo in a 2004 Mexican mounting of West Side Story. His television work has been seen by over 400 million viewers worldwide. His small screen credits include the series Mujer de Madera, Diseñador Ambos Sexos and Mi Destino Eres Tu. He has also appeared in the films Delfines, Puños Rosas, Zapata, Siete Dias and 7 dís. A platinum recording artist, his solo albums include Una Vez Mas and Para Estar Contigo.”
