“The National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO) Educational Fund, the leading organization that empowers Latinos to participate fully in the American political process, marked the importance of the Latino electorate by embarking on the Voces del Pueblo Campaign, a multi-prong strategy to provide them with information on the voting process and an invitation motivating them to go to the polls on Election Day.

Leading up to yesterday’s election, the NALEO Educational Fund, in partnership with Univision KMEX 34 and Latino Health Access, hosted two voter forums to learn about the issues that Latino voters cared about most specific to the Special Election. The effort also included public service announcements on television, live phone calls to 35,000 Latino households, and a bilingual voter information hotline — all geared toward increasing the electoral participation of Latino voters in California.”
