Latina Lista: New Initiative Calls on Nielsen Media to Change the Way They Monitor Hispanic Viewing Habits

“We all know that it makes everyone’s jobs much easier when they think Latinos are all the same. From politicians to advertisers, people like to lump us together because then they can say they’re answering our needs.

Take for instance the argument of supplying Spanish-language media for the collective Latino population. Whether it be telenovelas, newspapers, magazines or radio programs in Spanish, advertisers actually believe they’re reaching all of us.”
