“The number of Latinos in Iowa is growing, especially in the city of Ottumwa.

Last December, Heartland residents became witness to a new Spanish language program on KBIZ radio called “La Onda Latina,” or the Latin wave.

Since its debut in Southeast Iowa, the show has grown popular among Latinos and non-Latinos in the Heartland.”
