“Diamante, Inc., a Latino non-profit cultural and community participation organization, with the help of the Friends of the Page-Walker Center and the Town of Cary, has begun a new Latino holiday tradition: The lighting of the Arbolito de la Esperanza (Tree of Hope). The tree lighting will take place on Thursday, December 1, 2005 at 7:00pm at the Page-Walker Arts and History Center located on 119 Ambassador Loop in downtown Cary behind the Cary Town Hall.

“Our goal is to create a new holiday tradition in the community while keeping almost lost Latino traditions alive’, said Lizette Cruz-Watko, Executive Director of Diamante, Inc. “I can’t think of a better way to keep hope alive than by brightening a child’s day during the holiday season”, she added. “
