An Austin, Texas, couple is suing the city, saying their slain teenage daughter would be alive if the city had enforced its immigrations laws

“Humberto Garcia and his wife also are suing Police Chief Stan Knee and Assistant Chief Rudy Landeros in federal court, claiming the city has a policy against reporting undocumented immigrants. The city’s lawyer denies such a policy exists, reports the Austin American-Statesman. “
