“A Latin beat beckoned students at the University of Georgia to celebrate Latino culture and learn about issues ranging from higher education to immigration Tuesday as the school’s Hispanic community rallied to show its presence on campus.

Signs touting their pride as Bulldogs, Americans and Hispanics decorated the student center plaza during the two-hour rally, which was organized by UGA’s three Hispanic associations - the Hispanic Student Association, the Students for Latino Empowerment and UGA’s first Latino sorority, Lambda Theta Alpha.”
