Sandoval takes oath as federal judge

“Nevada Attorney General Brian Sandoval was sworn in Monday as a U.S. District Court judge, after submitting his resignation as the state’s chief prosecutor to Gov. Kenny Guinn.

Guinn immediately appointed Las Vegas lawyer George Chanos to complete the remaining 14 months of Sandoval’s term as attorney general. Chanos was to be sworn in today and go through a formal ceremony Wednesday. Both those events will be in Las Vegas.”
