Hispanic Mentors are Needed

“If you have some time to share, you could make a huge difference in a young person’s life.

That’s why the American Red Cross is looking for mentors. It’s particularly interested in finding Latinos who could be positive role models for young Hispanic teens. Mentors with the Hispanic Youth Leadership Program would attend a training session, meet with students for one eight-hour session and attend a graduation ceremony. “We thought having a mentor gives them the attention that they need, as well as the opportunity for them to ask questions and request help that normally, in a group environment,they would not normally ask or receive,” said Leo Dondiz, and engineer and mentor.”
