“The 2005 Hispanic College Fund Scholarship recipients will be honored by Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Terry Powell and the Gala’s Presenting Sponsor, PricewaterhouseCoopers at the Scholarship Awards Gala on October 26th at the JW Marriott Hotel in downtown Washington, DC. “These students represent the next generation of CEOs, scientists, engineers, and technologists and their dreams of becoming leaders in their fields should not go unrealized,” said Barrueta. “The Hispanic College Fund. is reaching students that could very well become the next Carlos Gutierrez or Jim Padilla, leaders that make our nation proud,” added Barrueta.
Ford Motor Company will be recognized as the “Corporation of the Year” for its commitment to education and its outstanding support of HCF’s programs. Mr. James Padilla, President and CEO will receive the coveted award. HCF chose Ford Motor Company for its support and dedication to education and diversity.”
