Knowledge is Power!

“The Department of Motor Vehicle says it’s doing all they can to help the Hispanic community with the translation of their driving manual. But the Hispanic population is so diverse, for some it’s causing more confusion than assistance.

Looking through the pages of a Spanish driving manual, non-Spanish speakers could never tell there’s a difference in words within the language. Elsa Skalkowski is one of many at the DMV who can relate to the confusion, “The driving books that are translated in Spanish are only translated for certain type of Hispanics. It’s not a general Spanish for everyone. I am from San Salvador. My Spanish is different than those from Mexico, Peru.”"

Please note some (many) sites require registration. Many times it is free.
