Pacheco portrait now hangs in capitol

“A Central Coast native, former San Luis Obispo Superior Court Judge and the first Latino member of Congress will now have his portrait in the Capitol Visitors Center in Washington, D.C.

Santa Barbara native Romualdo Pacheco, born in 1831, began his political career in 1853 as a San Luis Obispo judge. He then served as a state senator, state treasurer and lieutenant governor.”
