“A Central Coast native, former San Luis Obispo Superior Court and the first Latino member of Congress will now have his portrait in the Capitol Visitors Center in Washington, D.C.

native Romualdo Pacheco, born in 1831, began his political career in 1853 as a San Luis Obispo . He then served as a state senator, state treasurer and lieutenant governor.”
