Wachovia Introduces Free Spanish-Language Bank Statements

“Wachovia Corporation (NYSE: WB) is expanding its services for Hispanic customers by introducing bank statements in Spanish. Starting today, any retail customer with a Wachovia deposit account can sign up to receive bank statements and statement inserts in Spanish by calling 800-Wachovia, option 7.

“Wachovia is proud to be the first major bank to offer statements in Spanish on all of its bank deposit accounts,” said Jorge Moller, Wachovia’s Hispanic Segment Strategy Manager. “Offering Spanish statements is another part of our total commitment to the Hispanic community. We developed these statements after listening to our Spanish-speaking customers. They told us statements in their preferred language would help answer questions they sometimes have when they review their monthly statements. The statements provide an even better service experience to our Spanish-speaking customers and add to the Cuenta con Todo (’Account with everything’) product offering we introduced earlier this year.”"
