“If you recall, I posted the story about Elizabeth Reyes, the Texas Latina lawyer who had realized her dream of working in the office of the Secretary of State in Austin, Texas, only to be fired three months later for innocently answering a “hypothetical” question posed by a caller who turned out to be a Washington Post reporter working on a story about Karl Rove.

“My appeal to the Deputy Secretary of State Buddy Garcia was denied. I have an attorney who is helping me with my case. His name is Matt Holder with David Van Os & Associates, P.C., a law firm I used to work with. Senator Barrientos is also helping me by writing a letter to the Secretary of State. “
