Wells Fargo Donates $60,000 to Aide Hurricane Stan Victims in Central America and Southern Mexico

“Wells Fargo & Company said today it is donating $60,000 to organizations aiding victims in El Salvador, Guatemala and Southern Mexico affected by Hurricane Stan. In partnership with its remittance network member banks it also will rebate all remittance transfer fees for U.S.-based customers sending money using its InterCuenta Express(R) service to affected areas until Oct. 31, 2005.

“We are so grateful to Wells Fargo for stepping up and demonstrating its support of our Central American brothers and sisters suffering from the aftermath of Hurricane Stan,” said Hugo Hector Herrera, El Salvador consul general in Los Angeles. “Time and time again, Wells Fargo has proven its leadership and commitment to the Latino community.” “
