“Raul Zambrano, lead prosecutor in the Deltona mass murder case, was appointed a judge for Flagler County in the 7th Judicial Circuit on Wednesday.

Zambrano, 42, will be the first Hispanic judge in the circuit that includes Volusia, Putnam, St. Johns and Flagler counties. His appointment by Gov. Jeb Bush came after the Legislature created a new judicial seat in the circuit earlier this year, Circuit Judge C. McFerrin Smith said.”
