“NYU Cancer Institute is one of the sponsors in this year’s Seventh Annual Latino Expo, a celebration of the Latino experience and culture taking place this Sunday, October 16th, at Manhattan’s Marriot Marquis Hotel. Highlighting the close of Hispanic Heritage Month, this family event will feature activities and giveaways including free health screenings, job opportunities, financial planning, and seminars.

“We are pleased to be participating in the upcoming 2005 Latino Expo,” said James Speyer, M.D., Professor of Medicine and Associate Director of Clinical and Hospital Operations of the NYU Cancer Institute. “By creating a presence at the Expo, we hope to provide important health messages on issues of importance to New Yorkers, particularly the Latino community.” The event will also address diabetes, blood pressure, HIV, and other health issues affecting Hispanics.”
