Comic Carlos Mencia takes on everyone

“A few weeks ago, comedian Carlos Mencia played a sold-out show at a stadium with 20,000 seats. This weekend, he will be at the Richmond Funny Bone, which seats maybe 250.

With his “Mind of Mencia” show on Comedy Central and a DVD in stores, 37-year-old Mencia is one of the hottest comedians in the country. But he’s playing a relatively small club in Richmond, where he will make a lot less money than he would make in his home base of the Southwest.”
