“The Department of Homeland Security is likely to open an office in Colorado Springs within six months to enforce immigration and customs laws, Sen. Wayne Allard said Thursday.

Allard, a Colorado Republican, said the Senate has approved a spending bill to fund the Department of Homeland Security that includes additional law enforcement resources for Colorado Springs. He said the cost of opening a new office would depend on the needs of the nine or 10 agents who work there. “
