“Orlando Sentinel Communications has hired a new general manager to oversee its weekly Spanish-language newspaper, “El Sentinel.”
Rene Rodriguez, a veteran sales and marketing executive with experience in Miami and Puerto Rico, takes over for Anibal Torres, who left “El Sentinel” to operate “Newsday’s” Spanish-language newspaper, “Hoy.” “Orlando Sentinel” and “Newsday” are subsidiaries of Chicago-based Tribune Co. (NYSE: TRB).”
