“With growing numbers of Hispanic children in public schools, districts are trying to recruit more Hispanic teachers to diversify their teaching pool and to serve as positive role models for students.

School districts have recruited overseas and offered bonuses for qualified teachers, but the number of Hispanic educators isn’t catching up to the number of Hispanic students.”
