Hispanic Poor
Tagged: blog, Mexico“This is about the 5th entry in this Blog in the last two weeks on the “poor”–prompted by the sudden emphasis on the poor by the mainstream news media after Katrina.
Do we have an obligation to take care of Mexico’s poor? This is a rhetorical question, of course (although I think there are people who would say we do–ignoring that it can’t be done without killing the goose that lays the golden eggs: us). This also has some relevance on “affirmative action” (translation: discrimination against people because of their race or enthnic origin: namely against white people of European ancestry).”
