Women of any ethnicity suffer IPV abuse, but one source documents how Latinas suffer the highest rate of domestic violence. According to the 1996 Statistical Handbook of Violence in America, Hispanic women in intimate relationships suffered the highest rate of domestic violence í‚—181 per 1,000 couples. (Yet, I have to admit that there are other studies that find no statistical differences between the number of Latinas and white victims of domestic violence.)
