The Esudio Descriptivo de las Caracterí­sticas Demográficas de la Población de Edad Escolar study according to the 200 Census, reflect that 22,655 young people between the ages of 16 to 19 years of age besides leaving school, do not work. This also is a reality among university students, but not at such an alarming rate. The statistics also indicate that 51% of all high school students will not finish.
