Probe continues in Tift slayings of five laborers

The GBI conducted more witness interviews Monday in the investigation of the killings of five Mexican laborers in Tift County in a series of home-invasion attacks that sent six other people in Tift and Colquitt counties to the hospital.

“We’re making progress,” said Georgia Bureau of Investigation spokesman John Bankhead.
