PHOENIX (AP) _ Maricopa County’s top prosecutor says undocumented immigrants who pay smugglers to get the into the U-S can be charged with conspiracy.

County Attorney Andrew Thomas says immigrants can be held in county jails and could get two and a half year prison sentences under Arizona’s new human smuggling law.

Whoa, I have never heard this one before.
