The National Alliance of Latin American and Caribbean Communities (NALACC), comprised of more than a hundred Latino immigrant organizations, representing tens of thousands of immigrants from Mexico, Central America, Brazil, Colombia and the Caribbean, calls on Congress and the Administration to adopt a humane approach to immigrant families, especially those displaced by Hurricane Katrina.

NALACC urges policymakers to follow through on promises to protect those made vulnerable by Katrina and by unbalanced immigration policies, and to settle down to the serious business of comprehensive immigration reform so that families can be reunited. NALACC members will also announce their nationwide commitment to support immigrant victims displaced by Katrina.
