More Latinas venture into opening businesses

But today, Latinas are starting their own businesses in greater numbers and in fields long dominated by men.

Experts point to more Hispanic women getting degrees and finding role models for encouragement. They predict more entrepreneurs such as Valley businesswoman Paige Martinez, whose first business was filming documentaries. Now, she dabbles in microfilm to archive documents.
