Chelina Vargas, Host & Co-Producer of Indie 103.1FM “The Red Zone”, Joins Network as Talent Booker for “ Live”

This fall, Los Angeles-based youth network will be featuring performances and interviews from some of the biggest names in Latino entertainment, as well as up-and-coming talent. continues to showcase today’s top artists in several genres, including performances this fall from reggaeton posterboy , Mexican rock supergroup , Warped Tour favorites Go Betty Go, platinum-selling urbano act Akwid, and Latin-alternative buzz band Volumen Cero.

Joining “ Live” as the show’s new talent booker is Chelina Vargas, who is also known as “Cha-Cha” by loyal listeners of the popular “Red Zone” Latin-alternative show she co-produces and hosts on Indie 103.1FM in Los Angeles. At , Vargas will develop exciting and relevant content as the network’s bi-cultural audience and marketshare continues to grow. She will be responsible for all music and entertainment-related bookings on “ Live.”

With its groundbreaking mix of English and Spanish language music and lifestyle programming, has solidified itself as the leading network among bicultural Latinos in Los Angeles, America’s top Hispanic market. The network was recently singled out by the New York Times for its support of the Latin alternative genre in a recent cover story about the genre. The network is also developing a series of politically-minded segments for October and November stemming from ’s recent visit to Washington, DC. ’s content is predominantly in English, targeting Latino youth.
